Ghost Bites (Libstar | MAS | STADIO | Standard Bank)

Libstar's results aren't nearly as good as they might first appear. STADIO is growing strongly. Standard Bank is up, but needs better banking conditions. The games continue at MAS.

Ghost Bites (Brait | Metrofile | Renergen)

Brait has been boosted by a much stronger Virgin Active story, alongside Premier's excellent growth. Renergen had another stop-start quarter. A potential Metrofile deal is still in the works.

Ghost Bites (Assura – Primary Health Properties | Astoria | Gemfields | Powerfleet | Stor-Age | Vukile)

Vukile released strong numbers. Stor-Age's decreased payout ratio set a few hares running. Powerfleet needs profits, not just revenue growth. Look out for Assura - Primary Health, Astoria and Gemfields as well.

Ghost Bites (Gemfields | Merafe | MTN Zakhele Futhi | Novus | Primary Health Properties – Assura | Remgro – Mediclinic | Vunani)

Primary Health is making another desperate plea to Assura. MTN Zakhele Futhi is cashing in. Novus is up, but on shaky ground. Gemfields enjoyed decent support for the rights offer. Look out for Merafe, Mediclinic (Remgro) and Vunani as well.

Ghost Bites (Fortress Real Estate | Karooooo | Quantum Foods | Renergen – ASP Isotopes | Southern Palladium)

Renergen released the ASP Isotopes deal circular. There's an interesting move on the Quantum Foods share register. Zak Calisto is monetising R1.35bn of his Karooooo stake. Southern Palladium raised A$8 million. Fortress gave details on the Polish development pipeline.

Ghost Bites (Assura – Primary Health Properties | MultiChoice | Naspers – Prosus | Pan African Resources)

Pan African Resources and Naspers/Prosus have both been winners for me this year, with latest numbers showing why. MultiChoice is in much pain. Assura is going ahead with the KKR/Stonepeak offer, not the Primary Health Properties merger.

Ghost Bites (FirstRand | KAP | Kore Potash | Premier | Southern Palladium | Telkom)

Telkom and Premier released excellent numbers, while KAP got a well-deserved klap from the market. Kore Potash has finally got a funding proposal on the table, but it doesn't come cheap. Southern Palladium is raising money. FirstRand's HSBC deal is a step closer to completion.

Ghost Bites (4Sight | Alexander Forbes | Aveng | Barloworld | Lighthouse | Oceana | Omnia | PPC | Santova)

PPC's turnaround looks pretty spectacular, while Alexander Forbes and small cap 4Sight are both doing well. Lighthouse raised R400m in equity. Santova gave loads of details around its strategy. Aveng and Oceana are having tough times. Omnia is flat overall. Barloworld got the green light from the Competition Commission.
