Aspen, MTN Ghana, PPC, RCL Foods and Santam all had particularly good stories to tell, with Clientele, JSE and MAS in the green as well. Bidvest was a mixed bag in 2024. Italtile pulled off a resilient performance in the end. AfroCentric released very poor numbers, with Metrofile and Mustek also deep in the red.

Anglo American has a buyer for its nickel business. BHP's payout ratio has dropped considerably. DRDGOLD loved the recent gold price. Kumba is doing the best they can. Assura has rejected potential bidders.

Afrimat's full-year results are going to be interesting. Anglo American is getting as much cash as possible out of Amplats before the demerger. Aveng's share price is still dropping. CA Sales announced another bolt-on deal. Quantum Foods is having an excellent period. Emira released the Polish deal circular.

GHOST BITES (Italtile | Nictus | Sibanye-Stillwater | Transaction Capital)
Italtile's share price momentum makes no sense to me. Sibanye-Stillwater has pulled off a sensible uranium deal. Transaction Capital's results are delayed. Nictus had a terrific year thanks to investment income.
