A busy day of news saw earnings from Astral, Goldrush, Naspers - Prosus, PPC, Sirius Real Estate, Telkom and WeBuyCars, along with deal news at Fairvest - Dipula and Sanlam - MultiChoice.

Brait got a boost from Virgin Active. In property, Dipula and Emira released uninspiring results. Southern Sun is doing extremely well. Ethos Capital had a busy quarter of corporate actions.

Altron has staged quite the comeback. Redefine's numbers aren't telling a great story. AECI and Anglo American have news on asset disposals. Collins, enX, Exemplar, MTN Uganda and Oando all released numbers. Discovery gave an interesting presentation to debt holders.

Dipula, Equites and Fortress gave us an interesting property day, with Sanlam and Santam on the insurance side as well. Libstar, Metrofile, Impala Platinum, Pick n Pay and South32 all released important updates, as did Blue Label.

Woolworths Food is the only bright spot in the group right now. AECI is hoping for a much better second half. Altron's recovery momentum continues. MTN Nigeria is really hurting. Shaftesbury's valuations ticked higher.
