Another busy day of mining news saw AngloGold with exceptional results, with Glencore and Sibanye also adding to the mix. Discovery had a strong story to tell. Gemfields has good news for shareholders. Other updates included Aveng, City Lodge, Metrofile, Mpact, Transpaco, Vodacom, Vunani and WBHO.

Pick n Pay found strong market support. Telkom's great Q1 isn't a reflection of the full year. Mpact had a tough interim period. MTN Uganda is one of the best subsidiaries. Copper 360 has started mining at Rietberg.

AB InBev's EBITDA margins are up. ArcelorMittal is in emergency mode. Mondi's EBITDA is lower. Capital & Regional increased its dividend. Mpact found a buyer for Versapak. MTN Ghana is much better than MTN Nigeria.
